the microstudy project
This project records all 20 Microestudios of Abel Carlevaro. These progressive studies for classical guitar by the Uruguayan composer, guitarist, and teacher are a valuable tool for the development of guitar technique and musicality. They are rich in latin rhythms, chromaticism and jazz harmonies. Some are clearly just playful finger excercises. Others are hauntingly beautiful. They are a wonderful addition to the student and performer's repertoire.
